What we do know is that it has a lot of potential, but also some big challenges, like the fact that the amount of fish caught can vary a lot, it can be hard to get the fish from the boat to the table, and people need to be convinced to try new types of fish and deal with changes in supply. This study looks at how community-supported fisheries work, and if they are good for the environment, make money, and help people. It brings together ideas from fishery science, food systems, and community development to find the main points, what we don't know, and what we should look into next about this new way of getting food.
